Our client is a large pharmaceutical company located in Belgium and specializing in various therapeutic areas. They are now looking for a Senior Biostatistician in Epidemiology to join the Biometrics & Data Management team. Please contact Louise Beka for additional information on the location and company.
The Senior Biostatistician will join a global growing team of statisticians that provide statistical expertise to the Epidemiologist covering various areas as well post-marketing safety surveillance and effectiveness.
As senior biostatistician in the epidemiology biostatistics team, you will be responsible of:
• Trial designs, sample sizes, interim analysis, etc. in collaboration with epidemiologists, safety physicians and clinicians;
• The statistical designs of epidemiological studies, creating statistical sections for study synopses and protocols
• Defending statistical positions in interaction with regulatory authorities;
• Preparing the Statistical Analysis Plan;
• SAS programming to create the tables and listings;
• Statistical analysis;
• Interpretation the results;
• Writing statistical reports, reviewing study reports and publications;
We are looking for a Senior Biostatistician with the following profile:
• PhD degree in Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Public Health or equivalent
• At least 5 years of experience in Statistics in Epidemiology, Phase IV or Past marketing studies
• Good knowledge of designs of observational studies (cohort study, case-control, self-control case-series, ecological studies, etc.)
• Knowledge of SAS (knowledge of other Software is an asset).
• Good skill in written and spoken English
• Ability to easily communicate with different functions: clinicians, scientists, data managers, scientific writers, commercials, quality assurance officers, etc. in an international, multi-cultural environment.
• Compliance with internal Standard Operating Procedures and regulatory guidelines
