Approach People is recruiting for one of his clients, international company a Mechanical engineer specialised in Packaging processes (manufacturing environment)
In this visionary position you recognize, initiate and implement new packaging solutions into the plants in several countries. You understand packaging technology as well as equipment processes
Your role will involve:
• Developing and managing the packaging roadmap as well as providing standards on use of new technologies to drive the alignment between the plants
• Ensuring high value engineering work and understanding all parameters that influences manufacturing processes of packaging, therefore resulting high capability, process performance, low scrap/reject rate, high delivery quality of the packages, low labor costs and high throughput time etc.
• Understanding the customer and translating their needs to technical and technological requirements
• Continuously improving Manufacturing packaging processes and solving problems
• Managing packaging projects from concept to delivery
• Future growth possibilities: developing own team
In return, you will bring:
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent education
• 5 to 10 years of experience in the packaging industry and several years of experience in the Manufacturing environment
• 5 years of work experience in Engineering of complex production processes and automation
• Excellent understanding of packaging technology and equipment
• prior experience as a Project Manager
• A sound knowledge of suppliers, lean manufacturing and cost analysis
• Perfect fluency in English mandatory with German being a plus
