JOB PURPOSE

To provide industry-leading operational support to travel agent customers, booking on the RBS (Retail Booking System). To assist clients by processing their requests (website & manual) as well as handling their queries/problems regarding hotels and service bookings in an efficient manner.The role will be mainly responsible for supporting agents within France ,Spain and some of the UK.

KEY ACTIVITIES
� Handling of bookings, incoming telephone and email queries from customers, ensuring that company operational policies and guidelines are being followed.Includes monitoring of system in-trays and liasing with internal departments and external suppliers as necessary to ensure that bookings abd customer queries are processed and responded to satisfactorily.
� Checking and processing of bookouts, account queries and in-house complaints to ensure that all points are answered and appropriate compensation is provided where necessary, with compensation authorised by team leader/management as appropriate.

The Castle opens daily to visitors from 1st April to end of October 2012 - posts are from three months minimum (short term contracts between June and September) and up to seven months maximum. We are currently recruiting foreign language guiding & reception staff to join our Team. A full training programme is incorporated for all staff including a comprehensive Induction programme at the start of the season.

Skills & Responsibilities:

� Fluent English with either German, French and/or Italian required
� Other European languages with English considered
� Be passionate about working with the public and working to professional standards
� Providing a warm welcome to all visitors and assisting with their enquiries
� Taking groups on guided tours around the Castle
� To act as floor guides, ensuring the security of the Castle & its contents
� To assist all visitors of all ages and nationalities to enjoy their visit
� To assist other teams working within the Castle (e.g. reception, retail, housekeeping, administration, etc)
� To work under the direction of castle supervisors and work to accepted standards

Remuneration: Competitive

Hours: usually 6.5 to 7.5 per day, 5 or 6 days per week
Additional hours may also be available with evening events, housekeeping work, etc.

Accommodation: comfortable shared accommodation is available (subject to availability) within walking distance to the Castle. A subsidised fee is charged.
